• Need for Speed (NFS) - a cult series of racing video game company Electronic Arts. The Game is to manage the various cars on different tracks. There are variations of games for personal computers and various video game consoles such as 3DO, Microsoft Xbox, Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Wii and DS.
  The first game of the series Need for Speed was designed by EA Canada out of the city of Vancouver, Canada. Prior to the absorption of the studio by Electronic Arts in 1991, she was known as Distinctive Software and has managed to develop such a popular racing game, as Stunts and Test Drive II. So the company has already had experience when she initiated the development of Need for Speed at the end of 1992.

• Electronic Arts Canada Electronic Arts Seattle, and continued to develop games of this series for many years. In 2002, another Vancouver company Blackbox Software has been contracted to develop the game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Shortly after the release of this game Blackbox Electronic Arts was acquired and renamed Electronic Arts Blackbox. Since then, it was EA Blackbox is the main developer of games under the label NFS.
